Hands Team: We transform a theater into a space that welcomes the disconnected to come to connect with God. 13+
Parking Team: We want to welcome people from the first moment they are on the property, and ensure that they have a smooth and efficient parking experience. 13+
Safety Team: Safety & security is one of our top priorities. As you prayer-walk our facility and grounds on Sundays, you’ll also help us be safe. This role requires awareness of your surroundings, as well as attention to detail. 18+
HOST TEAM
Captain: Leads the Host Team for weekend, overseeing the Set up / Take Down process, leading the Team Huddle, and creating the space for connection and prayer. 18+; Background Check Required
Greeter Team: Be one of the first faces to welcome all our guests and members. By opening the door, serving coffee or offering an umbrella, your warm smile can make such a huge difference in making our Sundays feel welcoming to all. 13+
Usher Team: Our main goal is to maintain a distraction-free service environment. Greet people as they enter the auditorium and direct them to available seats. We also facilitate offering, communion and perform other tasks during the service as needed. 18+
Growth Track: This team helps new attenders understand the vision of New Community and how they can find their place and make a difference in the church and community. 18+
NEW KIDS TEAM
Captain: Leads the Team for weekend, overseeing the Set up / Take Down process, leading the Team Huddle, and creating the space for connection and prayer. 18+; Background Check Required
Tinies Team (6 Weeks – 3 Years): Minister to our children in an age-appropriate environment through Bible stories, worship, prayer, hands-on activities and personal interactions. 13+; Background Check Required
Preschool Team (3-5 Years): Minister to our children in an age-appropriate environment through Bible stories, worship, prayer, hands-on activities and personal interactions. 13+; Background Check Required
Elementary Team (6-11 Years): This is where the magic happens. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a small group a kids every week, and help them process and apply the Kids lesson to their own lives. One Service a Week. 13+; Background Check Required
WORSHIP / PRODUCTION TEAM
Audio Tech: Our front of house audio engineer is one that requires an ear for music as well as the experience of mixing a live band. This position is one of the more critical because it serves the experience of everyone in the room. Training provided. 16+
Camera Operator: You’ll increase the reach of God’s Word by capturing the entire service experience for our online campus and future viewers. 14+
Musician: Use your musical talents to lead people in encountering God each week. Auditions and Weekly Rehearsals. 14+
Projection Tech: Use creativity and technology to deliver the Word and worship through projection and other visual elements. 14+
Photography Team: Capture video and photo footage that helps others see what God sees at New Co. 16+
Online Care: This team connects with guests of New Co. from around the world, encouraging, praying for and building relationships with those who attend church online. 18+
Vocalist: Use your vocal talents to lead people in encountering God each week. Auditions and Weekly Rehearsals required. 14+
Streaming Tech: Create an online experience for viewers around the world to engage the gospel at New Co. +14
Social Media Team: Volunteer during the week and use your gifts to reach the community and build up the church through social media and an online presence. +18
SMALL GROUPS TEAM
Small Group Leader: This team hosts small groups, offering a place for people to find meaningful community. Small group leaders host groups based on topics or activities they are passionate about. 18+
Small Group Coach: Caring for the ones who care for everyone. A Small Group Coach helps train New Small Group Leaders and oversees their care throughout the semester. 18+
New Co. Students: Leading middle and high school students into a personal relationship with God and his church through small groups, retreats, community outreach and mission’s trips. 18+; Background Check Required
COMMUNITY TEAMS
Team Trevvett: Serving the students and staff at M. Trevvett Elementary School in Glen Allen. 14+
4th Fridays Team: Serving alongside the Downtown Ashalnd Association to rebuild the bridge of trust between the church and the community. 13+
Legacy Team: Using the gift of giving to support major initiatives and facilitate overall vision of the church through strategic financial offerings. 18+
